No Fishing Allowed

Has the accuser been wispering things like, "Remember what you did, that sin you committed years ago?"

Every time you come under guilt for past forgiven sins its time to take up the sword of the Spirit and say, "I am justified—just as if it never happened." Psalm 103 says, "He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us (verses 10–12).

Corrie ten Boom used to say. "God has taken our sin and thrown it into the sea of forgetfulness and posted a sign that says, 'No fishing allowed.' " You are justified. Just as if it never had happened.
