To Develop the Mind of Chrsit....

To be like Christ you must develop the mind of Christ. The New Testament calls this mental shift “repentance,” which means “to change your mind.” Read more

What happens when God dwells within me?

God calls us His temple, His dwelling place. So what happens when God dwells within me? 2 Cr 6.16 promises that God will ‘walk in us'. What does that mean, ‘to walk in (me)’? To Read More...

Who makes the Word ineffective and inoperative?

According to the Bible, the Word of God is active and operative in our lives. So why is it not true in some of our lives? The answer to that is also found in the Bible. It says that each one of us is responsible for making the Word ineffective and inoperative in our own lives. How is that? Read more …

A Dispenser of Eternal Life

Often, even Christian believers refer to Adam as the ‘father of us all’. Many of us believe that Jesus’ work was to restore us to the glory Adam had before the Fall. But the truth is that when we are born again, you are not restored to the glory of the first Adam. Read More....

Inerrant Word of God

2 Timothy 3:14-17

Reading the Bible as a whole document will reveal that each part is consistent with every other. God did allow for writers' differences in viewpoint and background, which can at times give the appearance of discrepancy. Further study, however, always reveals how the various parts fit together. Consider the Gospels' four angles on one story. Writing to Jewish people, Matthew emphasizes history and the fulfillment of messianic prophecy. Meanwhile, John tells a love story about a Savior willing to die for the world. Though they both traveled in Jesus' company, their perspectives differed. Yet in the fundamentals, they and the other two writers are consistent.

It is critical for believers to trust in the inerrancy of the Scriptures. A flawed book could only be the product of man's hand, but the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. His Spirit did the talking, no matter whose hand set down the message and the Sovereign of the universe had no trouble keeping the Scripture pure.

A Six-Course Dinner

“You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup fills with blessing” (Ps. 23:5 MSG).

A privilege. A friendship. A promotion.A gift. A lifetime of grace. An eternity of joy. Aren't there times when we literally push ourselves back from the table, amazed at God’s kindness.

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art

God Needs Your Donkey

"Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them" (Matt 21:2-3).

In Bible times, donkeys were primary means for distributing goods and services. In the scriptures they represented - commerce. Jesus told the disciples He had need of someone's donkey to ride into Jerusalem, the religious and spiritual center of their society.

I am sure the disciples must have been uneasy with their master's request to untie a perfect stranger's donkey and take it. After all, He was asking them to take what was the equivalent to a man's "truck." And men love their trucks! Jesus was illustrating that He wanted to use that man's donkey, or that which represented their work, to bring glory to the Father.

When we dedicate our work life (our donkey ) to the Lord, He will use it to bring glory to Himself. Our lives also will be more meaningful than ever.

Bearing One Another’s Burdens

Holy Spirit -- The Best Tour Guide

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13-14).

A story is told years ago about the Chinese underground church having to rely on the Holy Spirit to tell them when and where they were to meet. It was too dangerous to announce public meetings. So, each member had to ask the Holy Spirit the time and place. They would all arrive at the same place at the same time.

Therefore the next time you think that something seems impossible; remember it is written; FOR WITH GOD NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE! ( LUKE 1:37 ) For, HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD. (1 JOHN 4:4)

Have you yet asked the Holy Spirit to direct your life? Jesus has sent the Holy Spirit to help us navigate life. Ask Him to give you a tour for the rest of your life.

God's Mercy

The death or hardness of heart of an unbelieving friend or relative often times leads even ardent believers to question God and His loving faithfulness. If you are one such individual this post is for you. I pray that you may be comforted with heaven’s own love.

Everything in a believer’s life must begin by Faith. By faith we believe in God, His Son Jesus. Similarly by Faith we must believe whatever the Word of God says is True. This is the foundation upon which your Christian life needs to be built upon. Such a man or woman will be like the wise builder who built his house upon the rock; though storms, wind and flood come, the wise man’s house shall continue to stand. Read More...

A Cruel and Selfish God?

And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Genesis 3:22

Question: Why would a ‘loving God’ say, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil, so he must not be allowed to live forever”? If God was so loving would he not want man to live forever? How do you reconcile your image of a loving, considerate God with the God who spoke these words? Why do you serve such a cruel and egoistic God?

Answer: Until the day they sinned, Adam and Eve were totally unaware of evil and had lived a very protected life. ..........In His mercy, and infinite wisdom God created man very different from the angels.

Angels were created as immortal beings. .....

When man, God’s crowning glory was created, God created him as a triune being. To read more....

Stickiness in Marriage

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (KJV)

Cleave – You’ve probably heard this verse at least one hundred times. Every wedding, every sermon about marriage, every book and video from a Christian perspective ends up with this verse somewhere in the subject matter. But what no one told you is that the Hebrew verb here is not the one we would have expected, especially if we thought that becoming one flesh had anything to do with sex.

The verb here is 'davaq'- it means cleave or cling. It’s about stickiness. Davaq is a passive response verb, .... To read more...

Pray, "Lord, the One You Love,"

“So Mary and Martha sent someone to tell Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick’” (John 11:3).

Someone was willing to carry the prayer request to Jesus on behalf of Lazarus. Because someone went (someone prayed), Jesus responded.

However, observe the way the request was made. When he spoke to Jesus , he said, “The one you love is sick.” The power of the prayer, in other words, does not depend on the one who makes the prayer but on the one who hears the prayer.

We can and must repeat the above phrase in diverse ways. “The one you love is tired, sad, hungry, lonely, fearful, depressed.” The words of prayer vary, but the response never changes. The Savior hears such prayer.

Jesus Could not Heal the Sick

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know" (Acts 2:22).

"He could not heal the sick. Neither could He deliver the tormented from demons or raise the dead. To believe otherwise is to ignore what he said about Himself, and more importantly, to miss the purpose of His self-imposed restriction to live as a man." (Pastor Bill Johnson in 'When Heaven Invades Earth')

Jesus Christ said of Himself, "The Son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees the Father doing" (John 5:19). In the Greek language that word nothing has a unique meaning - it means NOTHING, just like it does in English! Jesus had NO supernatural capabilities whatsoever! While he is 100 percent God, He chose to live with the same limitations that man would face once He was redeemed. He made that point over and over again.

Jesus became the model for all who would embrace the invitation to invade the impossible in His name. He performed miracles, wonders, and signs, as a man in right relationship to God - not as God. If He performed miracles because He was God, then they would be unattainable for us. But if he did them as a man, I am responsible to pursue His lifestyle. Recapturing this simple truth changes everything for you and me.

2009 - Year Of The Seven Fold Increase

Increase in Grace:
In 2009, you will walk in increased grace, the grace that causes you to achieve things that ordinary men cannot achieve. This grace will bring you divine favor. In 2009, grace is going to be multiplied in your life and ministry and so you shall experience the Miraculous like never before.

Increase in Ability:
You will experience tremendous increase in your abilities. The lord is introducing new abilities in your life; things you did not know, you would do. It will be evident that you do such things only by the power of the Holy spirit. It will show the world the difference between those who serve the Lord and those who don’t.

Increase in Knowledge:
In 2009, God will give you increase in specified, specific and special knowledge in the Word of God. You will begin to know things supernaturally. You will wake up with supernatural knowledge which you must write down immediately. The Lord is bringing to you the solution, the answer and supernatural answers to the problems of the world. At you office or business, God will release to you the strategy to keep that place in business; and you will be openly rewarded for it.

Increase in Fortunes:
In 2009, you will increase in material and financial fortunes. You are financially blessed and you have become a blessing to others. You will sponsor the Gospel as never before. In 2009, you will become so influential that no one can ignore your word and everyone will listen to your message and your Gospel.

Increase in Wisdom:
In 2009, you will walk in increased wisdom, the wisdom beyond reasoning. This is the wisdom that causes you to think what you should think. This is the wisdom that pilots you and makes you to go where you should go and say what you should say and do what you should do correctly. This is the wisdom God gave Solomon which made him the greatest King of all times. You will walk in the abundance of this wisdom in 2009.

Increase in Speed:
In 2009, you will function with supernatural speed. Angels are dispatched for you and the Spirit of God will energize you. What would have taken you several hours to figure out, you will figure out in a moment of time. When you write you will write with speed and when you move you will move with speed. You will have the ability to accomplish everything in speed. Unlike the children of Israel on their journey from Egypt, in 2009, you will accomplish at God’s speed, and God’s time, for a quick walk will the Lord do on the earth, and he will cut it short in righteousness.

Increase in Accuracy:
In 2009, you will have supernatural increase in accuracy, correctness and exactness. When you do what you do, you will do it accurately. When you do it, you will do it perfectly. You will not have to re-do it. Even the first time, you will get it accurately, in 2009. You will walk in supernatural excellence like Daniel; and this will bring you promotion and recognition.

2009 is the year of completeness in every area of your life.

Faith = Free Fall onto W/God

  1. Faith is the confident assurance that something I want is going to happen.
  2. Faith is the certainty that what I hope for is waiting for me, even though I cannot see it up ahead.
  3. I can never please God without faith, without depending on him.
  4. When I want to come to God I must believe that there is a God and that He rewards me when I sincerely look for him.

Faith Pleases God

What is Faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

By Faith—By Believing God—we know that the world and the stars—in fact, all things—Were made at God’s command; and that they were all made from things that can’t be seen.

It was by faith that Abel obeyed God and brought an offering that pleased God more than Cain’s offering did. God accepted Abel and proved it by accepting his gift; and though Abel is long dead, we can still learn lessons from him about trusting God.

Enoch trusted God too, and that is why God took him away to heaven without dying: suddenly he was gone because God took him. Before this happened God had said how pleased he was with Enoch. You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him.

The Great Commission

Matthew 28. 16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

As Robert Schuller put it, "When God calls you to do something, he enables you to do it." In other words, anything God asks us to do he supplies us with the energy and grace to do. Read more....

Secret Life with Christ

We can draw an analogy between our life-cycle in Christ with the lifecycle of a tree beginning from a seed. Take for instance a mango seed. It remains buried in the soil for a while but even then there is life within the seed. The seed is in preparation to grow into a large mango tree. Changes take place within the seed and then later a tiny root pushes it way down and takes firm grip in the soil. This root continues to grow deep and wide. It continues to grow gathering all the nutrients from the surrounding soil. Meanwhile you could say that the seed is buried, and hidden from above ground. Read more....

Adam's will vs Adam's Apple

Having established the fact that God created humans for His pleasure in my previous post let us now turn our attention to another interesting fact that is recorded in the first book of the Bible. .......Here we see a great eternal principle played out.

Have you ever been an expectant parent or have you been around one? Every expectant mother or father has an aura of expectancy surrounding them. They are also very busy preparing their world for the new baby(ies). Every parent wants to make the arrival and life of the little bundle of joy the most memorable one.

Why did God create us?

Worldly men presume that God was dissatisfied with His existence or that He became lonely. Its so not true. Psalms 8.5 says that “He (God) crowns him (man) with glory and honor”, for it is His pleasure to do so.

If God had not created us, the righteous would ..... read more
